Marner to Vegas. To Toronto Theodore and Thompson
Can only see this scenario if Vegas lose. Theodore needs a contract and they can't afford him with paying Hanafin 7.35 Vegas also have 2 goalies and probably would stick with hill since he won them a cup. Toronto would get Theodore their new top defenceman who can play solidly 2 ways and run a power play.

If Vegas can not afford to pay Theodore then I don’t understand how they can afford to pay Marner?

It doesn’t make sense to have 3 d above 7.5 million on the cap. Vegas can’t score in the playoffs with a different coach maybe that gets Marner going. They’d rather lose marchessault and add Marner imo. Plus losing hill at 4.75 helps the cap situation and we get a number 1 goalie in Toronto.

Seems like a massive overpayment for McCabe. The other two seem like fair value.
I like Acciari, but someone in the bottom 6 other than Holmberg would need to go as there would be too much of a logjam.

A 1st round pick plus Sandin for McCabe is bizarre.
Sandin is already almost as good as McCabe and doesn’t even have 2 full years (131 games) in the NHL yet.
I do like Acciari and if St Louis was interested he would be a great, bottom six addition.
Holmberg is already as good as, if not better than, Bonino so a huge NO to a trade of a 23 year old on an ELC for a 34 year old UFA.

I would move Marner to Seattle. I’d try and get McCann and Larsson in the same deal straight up.
Marner gets a fresh start on a new team, I think Seattle is an easier sell he’d be the face of the franchise. Unlike a mess situation in Utah or going to a bigger market.
Trying to find somewhat realistic hockey trades. Brad has made them in the past Hamilton for lindholm and hanafin and the past one with tkachuck.
McCann can skate really fast kills penalties and can forecheck has a really good shot too which we need for the power play another 2 years left at 5 milllion flat and would solve 2C
Larsson stay at home shut down guy would be the best partner we’ve ever had for Reilly.
