With the big Pie out in st.louis for a long while guess the talk will change a bit..don't see paryako getting dealt either now..

Let's switch the focus to Erik Karlsson. He isn't doing all that well in San Jose . San Jose gave oh so much for him..however,it is later in year so lèts just do a good ole hockey trade

One thing you have to realize about any Karlsson trade is that San Jose would have to send a first round pick to Ottawa if they trade him to an east conference team. That was part of the deal between the two teams. Ottawa got burnt with the Hoffman deal so they added that clause for the Karlsson deal.

Lol. He’s still doing better than Zaitsev. Karlsson is on pace for 50 points, plays almost 25 minutes a night, and has Corsi of almost 60%. Those are all pretty solid numbers. At this point, I would say SJ has gotten their money’s worth out of him.

Downgrading from Karlsson to Zaitsev for basically Bracco + Rasanen (they lose the 1st to Ottawa) doesn’t seem right to me. SJ would be married to Zaitsev for another five years after this season, while Karlsson is UFA and wouldn’t be coming back if SJ was unhappy with him.

Thankyou for the info. I for one was not aware of this stipulation. no more Karlsson to Toronto deals at least from me anyways.

Again thankyou. love learning new things every day and this is something learned.

Learning and realizing your deal is garbage and accepting it is part of growing as a human. lol.

They can’t all be winners Craigger. I know I’ve floated more than a few flops myself. I didn’t think this was a garbage trade though. Just not something that was not in the cards at this particular moment. And yes, you accepted it a lot more graciously than some. But you also strike me as more mature than others as well.

Don’t let one little set back discourage you. At least you have the guts to post something every day. We have enough armchair critics who just like to cut others up and no balls to post anything themselves.
