You know you hear all the rumors on here and to me it is a simple process. Eliminate all the all teams in the Atlantic division unless of course the Bruins want to send the Leafs McAvoy for a 3rd round pick (aint happening)
So you have to look for teams that have cap room and a somewhat surplus of defence. The obvious ones are Carolina, Anaheim Edmonton (not because of a surplus but getting a winger for McDavid) possibly Winnipeg but they have cap issues and are loaded up front.
I think if Nylander is moved it would probably be for Pesce and mix of draft pick and prospects on both sides to even out the deal. We can only guess what the end result would be as beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that means Waddell and Dubas. I could see a deal of Nylander and Johnson for Pesce and a 2nd

Nylander worth more than Pesce and Johnson worth more than a second.
Take johnsson out.

Nylander is worth more then Pesce, but I don’t think Johnsson is worth more then a second, he’s off to a bad start so leafs will probably wait until he gains value if they do trade him.

IDK. He was MVP and babcock looks to be trying to teach him a lesson. He has skills. I wouldn't move him for that return. But that's me.

you are aware there is a salary cap? no way Philly could fit these players in their cap.

One thing you have to realize about any Karlsson trade is that San Jose would have to send a first round pick to Ottawa if they trade him to an east conference team. That was part of the deal between the two teams. Ottawa got burnt with the Hoffman deal so they added that clause for the Karlsson deal.

Leafs GM. How does Nylander fit into the Tampa salary cap with both Point and Vasilevskiy (sp? ) coming up for new contracts. Even taking away the nominal contract coming back I fail to see how Tampa could absorb what Nylander wants. Foote I like but this will not happen for cap reasons let alone trading within the division with a playoff rival.
