While watching the Leafs and Ducks game tonight I thought we might have a good trade partner here in Anaheim...

To Ducks: Nylander, Ennis, Leivo

To Leafs: Montour, Ritchie, Kase

Lines-
Hyman-Tavares-Marner
Marleau-Matthews-Kapanen
Ritchie-Kadri-Kase
Johnsson-Lindholm-Brown

Rielly-Montour
Gardiner-Zaitsev
Dermott-Hainsey

Ritchie adds grit and I really like Kase's game and he scored 20 goals last year for the ducks. And obviously Montour is the main part of this deal. And dealing Anaheim Leivo and Ennis it adds some depth for them because a lot of there guys are out with injury.

Not a bad trade. the value differance of Nylander to montour is made up by the the others added in this deal.

Here's problem dealing with Ducks now.

With Fowler out 8 weeks they had to play 3 rookies on blue line last night. It is going to be tough if not near impossible to get Montour or Manson (my choice) out of there in next two weeks unless they decide to take couple steps back for future. Their 7th dman is Luke Schenn. Not much depth. Hope they can still get Manson.

I am changing my focus to Flyers.

TOR Sanheim Konecny
PHA Nylander

Sanheim may not contribute as much this year as future years but I think would be good get.

They may not want to give up Konecny and offer someone like Laughton. Watched Laughton play for Generals for 4 years. Played for DJ Smith.
Konecny offers more offensive upside than Laughton who is little more well rounded.

Sanheim is focus here.

Absolutely not enough good things to say about Manson. And if I wasn’t in a rush to get to the gym right now, I would say them all.

Ritchie not living up to high expectations in Anaheim, and the contract dispute and holdout this year may mean he’s on the block. Kase is a damn good olayer.

If Anaheim would make this trade, Leafs would be foolish not to accept it. That Manson, I mean wow. I would pack Nylander’s bags and kiss him goodbye for making this trade a possibility.

Ha! Was in a rush to get to work and got confused between proposals. Someone mentioned Manson in an earlier post and I got mixed up here. Of course, Montour is a very high quality defenseman himself. Rated top 50. Real sleek skater. Still young and on a good contract, he’s controllable for many years. Mo tour is absolutely welcome on the team, and if Anaheim would make this trade then Leafs would be better off for it.

Konecny could play real well with Matthews.
How this turned into a flyers topic I don't know but it did.

Aniheim deal also you are right. Getting one of their best 2 RHD right now may be hard with Fowler out. might be too late for a Nylander deal to happen once Fowler gets back. still a good team to deal imo.

Manson a beast and great player. get him and never look back.

This actually would not be a bad deal, however I would want the Flyers to throw in D - P. Myers and the Leafs can send F. J. Bracco the other way.
