Couldn't finish the bottom. iPad went wonky. sorry. forget everything after the or.

Heck forget it all if this deal looks weird.

Jets get LHD young on reasonable contract
Jets gets big young former #3 overall who with jets could excell
Jets get huge RHD prospect which jets seem to like on back end

Coyotes get prize in deal and helps rebuild with possible franchise guy
Jets get decent depth forward who is still under 23
Jets get depth RHD

Leafs get great RHD for playoff run but contract ends and injury prone
Leafs get solid Big LW who is under 24
Leafs get high end prospect

All needs of every team covered. even though Trouba probably walks isn't the goal to win cup before other big contracts happen? Comments appreciated.

Is Trouba able to walk after season end? He’s still RFA. He would be able to take us to arbitration and get awarded another year, but otherwise I think he would be stuck with us still.

Hayton has some real potential. Very highly rated, he would likely be able to replace Nylander’s offense himself in a couple years time. The other guys are the cherry.

Logan Stanley playing beside Rasanen would be sick. Would lobe to see them paired up.

This trade definitely improves us overall. Gives us top 4 RHD we want, a top 9 forward with top 6 potential, and a high end prospect. Exactly what the Leafs are asking. Dubas may be too conservative to pull a trade like this still. But if he could, it would really announce to NHL that he is the man. Lol.

I was reading an article recently about Strome. Interesting piece. Basically what the author of the article said was that Strome is the last of the old school style players that will be drafted early first round like he was. A big power forward, he lacks the speed and finess that is standard requirements to suceed in today’s NHL. It was suggested that Strome will never accomplish much and that Arizona is best to give up on him now while they might still be able to earn a return on him before he is a complete bust. His brother certainly hasn’t reached expectations, despite olaying with some of the best players in the game, and has been traded again. These guys are throwbacks to old school NHL and just aren’t suited to the high speed game olayed today.

Just thought I would throw that one out for whatever it’s worth.

The Jets wouldn't make a trade like this now. The drop from Trouba to Chychrun isn't something that a contending team can do.

You are right LeafGM. Trouba is RFA arbritation rights.

On a side note not directed at anyone

who knows? maybe he will enjoy being THE MAN on the right side instead of THE other MAN. who know? maybe he won't get injured again. just like maybe Matthews won't ever get hurt again. who knows? maybe he will sign for 7X7 well under what Nylander wants. who knows? maybe this deal and Trouba help Leafs win cup this year. Who knows? maybe on the leafs he wins a Norris.

Who Knows?

Nobody, that's who.

Very interesting piece on Strome. good read. thanks for the info. I agree for the most part.

I believe once everything gets to March every line will want a speedy guy, a shooter and a grinder.

If Strome can ever become a grinder or shooter he has value. Laine can't skate. however, he found his shot early. now he is considered amazing.

I'd take the risk. but I'm still in between old school and hybrid school.

Funny how no one said anything about the Trouba side of this trade. wow. I must be really emotional about Trouba. think someone at work put a shiver in my spine about Trouba. damn.

Sorry everyone. that truely was directed the wrong way. me bad.

I only put this trade together due to fact of that aweful report about jets dealing Trouba for Nylander then flipping him for some pieces.

I thought why skip middle man

3 team trade
Yes, lot so of pieces but 3 men for 3 men for 3 teams is so tough unless coyotes willing to deal eklund larsson. Doughty that so next best thing. figure out what each teams need and find players to fill it

Jets need LHD, C or wing depth, D prospects
Coyotes need complete reset of their forwards
Leafs need RHD, LW, prospects

I think I covered all of this. may not be realistic, due to what 10 players, but seriously don't see the negative people creating deals. only see them responding. responding is easy. saying I do is easy. asking the question is always the toughest. oh. snap. face.

If Jets take Nylander with the intention of flipping him, Leafs could maybe get a clause put in similar to what Ottawa did with Karlsson: If Jets flip Nylander to a division rival of Leafs, we get an added first. Just a thought.

No worries about the Trouba talk. Lol. Everyone has the right to voice their own opinion. And it’s simply not possible to agree on everything all the time. Most people on the site don’t take it personal. You obviously love the game and are well versed in the subject. We need more guys like you who contribute regularly and encourage others to do the same.
