Iv'e been thinking, if L.A. is interested in Nylander (per, Elliott freedman) why not do this if you are the leafs

leafs: Martinez or Muzzin

L.A. Nylander

I would like to hear what you guys think

I really do agree with u on this one. A solid yet older dman for Nylander is and could be a smart move. Due to age gap LA would have to add a prospect or pick but all in all getting something when u have nothing in Nylander at moment is worth considered good. just move on from him already. plus Muzzin is a Dubas guy from junior. good suggestion.

Martinez and Muzzin are long past their prime.
Leafs window to win a Cup is barely starting to open.
The last thing they need to do is give up an elite, 1st line RW for a declining asset.
This trade barely helps Leafs performance this year and does so less with each ensuing year.
I would much rather Leafs sent a 2nd round pick or something like it to LA for Slava Voynov.
Yes, what he did was inconsionable but we all make mistakes in life both large and small.
He has paid for his mistake and deserves a 2nd chance.

Kings would love that. Both of those defenceman are average players. But they are both around 30 years of age which isn't what the leafs need. Young contributors.

Dont think Kings can afford to do this unless Leafs take back more salary. Not sure how I feel about trading 8+years of Nylander for 2-3 years if either Muzzin or Martinez.

@waterbuffalo

Voynov isn’t allowed in the US because he ducked out of his deportation hearing after beating his wife. He isn't coming back, and Leafs would never take him anyway. Leafs would never get involved with anyone so controversial and unprofessional.

Do the Leafs have a walker for those guys? Who would be changing their diapers?
