This trade happens if the 3-way trade that I posted below happens
To Ottawa:
Zaitsev, 2019 4th
To Leafs:
Wideman

We pay Ottawa to take Zaitsev, Wideman had 8 points in 16 games and was +5 before he got hurt, and after that Ottawa started struggling on defence, seems like more then a coincidence to me.
As long as he stays healthy, he could possibly play with Dermott on the third line

3 way trade
To Columbus:
Nylander, Gardiner (5 year extension), Neilson, 2020 3rd
To Anaheim:
Savard, Milano, leafs 2019 2nd, Carrick
To Leafs:
Montour, Panarin (2 year extension), Anaheim 2019 6th, pick from Columbus?

To Sharks:
2021 2nd, Brown, Timashov, 2020 7th
To Leafs:
Braun, 2019 3rd

Only 2 prospects traded, Timashov and Neilson, both who probably won't make the leafs for a while, but do hold some value now and they aren't Bracco and Rasanen so do it

It case you were wondering why I always include Neilson in my trades, well he is a bit of a hothead and I just don't see him making the leafs any time soon. I hope some of you watched the rookie tournament because he had a ton of penalty minutes, in one of the games he got a 5 minute major on like the second shift

Ennis/Lindholm/Leivo-they get 5 minutes of ice time per night so we don't need to stack it, plus we could bring up Grundström, Bracco or Moore if they look ready

Tuch is a good choice. I know you targeted him because of his age and size, and I don’t disagree with that choice at all. He has a very high ceiling.

Theodore is good too. A product of Anaheim, so you know he’s quality. I think I would rather have Hague though. Younger, bigger, cheaper, and a very highly rated prospect, he’s exactly what we are looking for in RHD, except LHD. Solution is simple. Pair him up with Liljegren and now we have the combo we want, except in reverse.

I think we give up too much in that deal, Nylander and Rasanen for Tuch and Theodore, then we can still use Gardiner in another deal.
