Hearing Leafs have interest in bringing in Panarin for one year.

To Toronto: Panarin
To Colombus: Johnsson, Bracco and a 1st

For one year of Panarin leafs won't give up Kapanen, marner or nylander. Johnsson would have to be the starting point.

I don’t even think Leafs should be coughing up Johnsson for a one year rental on Panarin.

I hate the thought of trading a long term asset for a short term rental. Would rather give them Gardiner instead.

Leafs might make this trade though. It would make us heavy favorites to win the cup.

Panarin will be very expensive and I for one would not want to see the Leafs give up too much of their youth and draft picks for a 1 year rental.
Skinner would be almost as good a fit and much cheaper to acquire.

Would Panarin be cheaper to get than someone like Parayko? If that was the case maybe the Leafs would flip him for a top pairing Rhd.

I think if Panarin fetches you Parayko than Columbus would go get Parayko with Panarin

It's a great idea though.
