Instead of Tavares, Leafs should pursue Eberle. He’s worth every penny of that $6M he’s making. With the emergence of Barzal and the need to sign Tavares, does that mean Eberle will be available?

Cool it on bracco to me this guy looks like a Mitch marner with far less finish. Some of these guys look pretty damn good. Bracco may never score the goals marner does but I can see him turning nylander into a 40 goal scorer but he is 2 years away.

The only players on Marlies I would consider untraceable are:

Aaltonen, because we are so shallow at center and he is looking ready for NHL duties next year at some point.

Liljegren, because he is going to be our top 4 RHD in a couple years.

Johnsson, because he will probably be ready to play nhl next year at some point

Kapanen, Dermott, because they are basically on the Leafs full time already.

The only untouchables on the Leafs atm should be:

Auston Matthews
Mitch Marner
William Nylander
Nazem Kadri
Kasperi Kapanen
Andreas Johnsson
Zach Hyman (he compliments Nylander and Matthews very nicely)
Morgan Rielly
Travis Dermott
Timothy Liljegren
Frederik Andersen

The others I may consider would be like:
Connor Brown
Nikita Zaitsev
Carl Grundstrom

Thats it tbh. Guys like Bracco, Nielsen and others aren:t untouchables and never should be.

Bracco is certainly NOT untouchable, very tradeable asset. There is no room on the roster for him at this time.

Your right way to much 4 Bozak. He will be pretty useless year 3 and 4. He gets over paid by Canucks in summer. Bracco your dead wrong this guy 21 two years away from being in leafs top 9.

This guy is a setup machine like Marner but doesn't possess Marner goal scoring ability. At start of 2020-21 season he is setting up nylander on third line. Dobt trade blue chip players that are at beginning of NHL development.

How is bracco a bluechip prospect? If Nylander remains on the wing with Matthews, where is bracco going to fill in? We'll have Nylander, Marner, Kapanen and Brown down the right side? Those guys are all going to be here way past the 2 year mark when bracco is ready to come up.

Interestingly, Browns cap-friendly contract expirea in two years. Same e. t. a. Bracco makes his nhl debut. If Bracco is still around and showing he’s got chops, he might make the leafs as 4-line winger. That’s if he doesn’t get traded first.
