Nowhere near the value you would need to entice the Jets to trade Trouba.

so I don't understand why trouba gets as much credit as he does. watching that leafs vs. jets game last night he looked rusty. he was a -4 on the night. worst on the team.
I wouldn't trade two level a-b prospects and a first for him. low or not. look what we got at 17 last year.

think about if you posted

liljergen dermott, kapenen for trouba and a 4th. hmmmm

I think one of those players a lower prospect and a 2nd


kapenen, Nelson, 2nd

for trouba.


remember trouba may not sign with the jets.

If the jets make a trade they will be looking to acquire a goaltender. With 2 average goalies at best, they will ask trouba for Freddie and Lou hangs up. Lol forget trouba.

None of the above offers are close to being enough for Trouba. Ask yourself "Would the Leafs accept the offer for Rielly? " The Leafs only have one player (that they would not trade) that would interest the Jets if they are moving Trouba.

Realistically, any offer the Leafs make would be easily topped by 8 or 10 other teams at least.

You make some valid points in your analysis of this trade proposal. I don't know why we keep coming back to Trouba as things have long quieted down about him being moved, and to Toronto. For the Leafs, patience is the key. They're working on improving their defence just like they have at forward.
