Bozak for DeBrincat, and left D prospect.
Dump Komarov for a prospect and draft pick.
Offensive pairs as follows:
Marleau, Matthews, Brown
Nylander, Draisaitl, Bracco (I am almost 100% sure this line would be explosive).
DeBrusk, Kadri, Leivo
Aaltonen, Moore, Martin
Then with three firsts in 2018 get a centre (Brady Tkachuk?), A left D and right D (Adam Boqvist?). With the picks out of the first round stock up on two wingers on the left, another left D, goalie a right winger and after that whatever else.

Lol @ draisaitl. Will never come to toronto. Plus we can't afford him nylander and Matthews. Just keep marner and the 1st plus our left d is "pretty solid" why get rid of gardiner?

The Draisaitl proposal is pure fantasy and completely absurd. Not to mention that the Leafs would essentially be gutting part of their team just to make this happen. This deal would just make new holes for the Leafs.
I don’t think JVR is going to yield you two younger players. Teams that will overpay for JVR will be ones that are all in come playoffs and need that extra push. I see JVR being moved at the trade deadline to a contender. Then you will get your prospect, high draft pick and whatever else.
The Leafs already tried to trade JVR for an older more established player. Asking for two young pieces at this stage might be difficult which is why I say, wait until the deadline when teams feel the pressure and choose to overpay.

I understand your point and agree now is the time to move JVR if they have no intention of resigning him.
I do believe however that he will be a key asset in acquiring the young RHD everyone says the Leafs need. Of course that may nott happen until the pressure of the deadline pushes teams to overspend.
