What amount of salary are you offering for signing of Thornton and J Williams. JVR and a B prospect no more more for Manson, because you will lose Carrick to Expansion.

Jvr trade is awful. I'm sure Manson will be good.

Leipsic will not get hjarlmmanson.

If this happened I would be very happy. Sign thornton and williams for 2 yrs at reasonable price - will line up with our cap needs in 2 yrs tied to matthews marner.

2 yrs 3-4 mm for Williams

Either way they are off our books when we need to sign Matthews and marner

Jvr trade may be awful - but he is completely expendable once we get Williams imo. Maybe jvr gets us hjarmallson instead but the point is with Williams and Thornton we can move him easily and get the dman or 2 dman we covet. We won't lose carrick in this - make a side deal with vegas hat forces them to take Leivo.

Thornton is very very old now and slow. Not sure if he's what's needed. Bozak right now is better and you're pushing him to the 4th line. Re-signing Boyle for a 4th line role is a better option at this time.

Little unrealistic but I like dreaming anyways.
1) Manson isn't going anywhere. Ducks are keeping him and moving Vatanen or maybe Folwer.
2) Justin Williams is a RW which we have too much of. We need to be looking for LW help.
3) Bozak isn't a 4th line centre, he doesn't have that tough grinding ability, I would use Thornton on 4th Center and the powerplay.
4) Hjalmarsson is a first pairing type D man, doesn't belong on the bottom pair. And although the Blackhawks have cap issues I think the leafs would have to add a pick to that trade.
5) If the Leafs were to be throwing that kindness of money around on UFA's they wouldn't sign stone hands Martin on top of everyone you just mentioned.

So yeah those are my thoughts lol I think better things can happen this offseason.
