One Dman who is up for grabs is Petrovic. The panthers will be protecting Ekblad, Yandle(MNC), and Demers.

Petrovic is a big, rough, take care of his own end Dman. He can't be protected and shouldn't cost too much.

TOR: Uncle Leo, Desrocher, Korostelev, 3rd 2018

FLO: Petrovic, 2nd 2017

Florida gets a D back, a RW prospect, s 3rd, and Leo who can play any forward position.

All for Petrovic and a 2nd.

Desrocher and Korostelev were NOT signed to Entry Level Contract so they are no longer property of Leafs.

Uncle Leo and a 3'rd for Petrovic (without 2'nd) sounds ok.

JVR to the Islanders for Hamonic AND Barzal would be good for Leafs and give NYI a great first linemate for Tavares.

Leafs let the 5pm deadline go by on Thursday for Stephen Desrocher, Fabrice Herzog and Nikita Korostelev to sign ELC's. Desrocher is now a free agent and Korostelev is going back into the draft.

Desrocher is a FA, and Korostelov is in the 2017 Draft.

Pretty hard to offer those players when Stephen Desrochers and Korostelev were both not offered ELC's by June 1st. Desrochers is now a free agent and Korostelev can go back into this years draft.

Barzal could very well be Tavares line mate this year with more creativity and talent than JvR, and much younger. Islanders wouldn't even trade Barzal for JvR straight up, let alone put Hamonic in there.

@All

Yes, my bad. Lost track of the date. That's the reason I had them in most of my trades lately. I am surprised they didn't sign Korostelev to an ELC and move others out.

You can replace them with Valiev and Lindberg in the trade above.

@Blu4evr

I was thinking of a trade with the Ducks for Manson using JVR. Note: that because of Bieksa's NMC, the trade becomes complicated.

@Dbone

I think you over value Barzal. He didn't improve in his last junior year, and will require a couple of years in the AHL to round out his game.

His latest numbers are closer to Marners 16 year old numbers. (I use Marners junior numbers as a reference point when comparing other juniors at various ages. )
