It's no secret but i believe it's the best case scenario for the Leafs. It instantly helps both teams and fills an area of need for both parties! Win win situation!
None of this trading the farm for a top 4 defenders! Patience is the key to building a championship team so it just isn't smart trading prospects before u get a good idea of what they bring to the table! As I read in an artical I would expose Bozak to the expansion draft over prospects like Leivo, Rychel or Leipsic. Its way to risky to lose one of the 3. If not trade bozak, komorov, Martin for prospects and picks.
Therefore the trade below makes the most sense for both sides and frees up a spot for one of the three prospects i mentioned above.

Nothing more nothing less! JVR would slot in nicely with the ducks top 6 and I believe Manson's defensively sound physical game with a little offensive touch would help bring Rielly game to the next level!

I'd like to see this line up in the near future!

Looks pretty good. I would switch Hyman with Rychel because of experience. Let Rychel get his feet wet on the 4th. I also wouldn't assume the Swede d-men are there immediately.
I would also like to see another RHD somehow.

JVR is worth more than Manson on any day, and if that is Anaheim's asking price then the Leafs would walk away after they finish laughing!

The deal fails to take into account that JVR is worth a lot more than Manson to most everyone.

The deal fails to take into account the fact that the Ducks have no cap space for 2 years and taking on JVR's contract will prevent them from doing just about anything else. If they can even manage it as is.

It's fan boy in nature to add Bracco (0 NHL games) to Matthews line, so Nylander can play center and take Marner (the better player) off his own line just to make Nylander look better. Marner can stay on his own line.

Boyle isn't worth the money he will be asking.

I suppose Martin and Leo just evaporated. Dermott is not ready. Rosen will play on the 3rd pair. Borgman will take at least a year.

The deal and your lineups are just childish fantasy.

Lab16, if you read what I wrote i said "I'd like to see that line up in the near future"! Not saying BRACCO makes the leafs next yr but in the NEAR FUTURE! Manson is a beast and just getting into his prime! If you watched him in the playoffs you would understand what I'm talking about. He's a great shut down d man with grit.

If Taylor hall gets you Larsson jvr would be about right for a player like Manson coming into his prime. What people like yourself seem to not put into account is this site is for people to express what they would like too see happen with the leafs. As we all know no one ever really agrees with what anyone writes on here.

Enlighten us with your superior knowledge about what players are worth and other teams cap situations. Dermott has the best chance too make the leafs out of camp on D! I don't overate Manson. I've watched him for 2 years now. The Ducks and Leafs have been good trading partners for some time now and it's important to be aware of player movement, rules, drafts, cap management and development and not just react to trends you see when using Google.

The Leafs didn't get Rosen to have him play on the Marlies. I like Dermott, but he's not ready, and had a shortened season. Maybe in another year. I want Neilsen to come up because he presents the package we want in a Dman. He may take another year and his skating has to improve (he has the summer) . I feel he will improve best at this level, maybe even as the 7th; as he can handle the punishment.

Yes, everyone gets to put forth their view, but it has to be based in reality or it will get criticized (someone's view) . You tell people they don't know the game, or don't watch hockey and so on far too often. You have taken a lot of abuse for a huge number of lame trades, so I can see why you are defensive. Maybe you should try to make a deal that can actually work; not what you fantasize about.

Nylander is not playing center this year or next, and may never under Babcock. Where are you going to put Brooks? He will make this team as soon as Bozak is traded. Fantastic heart and talent.
