Bracco isn't going anywhere! I can see him as Matthews RW in the future.

What? Did you just forget about Nylander or Marner?

Bracco has no place to go. Who's he going to replace; Brown, Nylander, Marner, Kapanen?

Please, I like Bracco, but the writings on the wall unless he learns to play center or left wing.

He's great trade bait, and that's how he will be used. Say your goodbyes.

If the Leafs were to make those 2 trades, it would be better for them to draft Vilardi 3rd and then focus on Valimaki with the 17th pick. Then they can look to trade Bozak at the deadline and bring up Vilardi if he's ready.

If they did acquire Trouba, Foote would be burried on the bottom pairing for years, you can fill that with a 2nd round pick D-man or UFA

Valimaki would challenge Dermott and Nielsen for the 2nd pairing LHD next season.

Another option would be to trade down with that 17th pick and pick up both Timmins and Strome.

Goatson and lab16 do u guys understand hockey and the positioning? What's wrong with playing on your off wing? A lot of players play on there off wing! Lab16 what do u mean unless he LEARNS to play LW he has no place? It's the same as right wing! The only difference is receiving the puck on your forehand or backhand breaking out of your own zone! I believe Nylander will move to center at some point leaving a spot on the right or left for bracco on either of the 3 lines! Trading a player like Bracco isn't smart at all! Why not have two marner type players distributing the puck to the snipers on the first two lines I. E Matthews or Nylander. I'd like to see bracco with Matthews and marner with nylander. Lou isn't clueless like most of the people on this site so we'll see. This is the same site people were bashing Nylander and calling him overrated and should be traded lol. I see that tune changed quickly on here.

Most off wing players, are those who have big shots and can make plays to the middle of the ice on a consistent bases. Usually big bodies snipers, or the grindy type.
Bracco is a small, playmaking finesse player, I don't think he will ever play anywhere but RW with his stature.
He has trade bait written all over him.
Kapanen came up and showed he more than belongs, Brown, Nylander and Marner are all staying, the only chance Bracco would have is if Nylander moves to centre some day. Babs seemed to really like using Matthews and Nylander together taking draws on each their strong side, and the way linesmen toss ok draws, it is almost mandatory to have two capable faceoff men on the ice.

First of all Nylander or Marner is going to be the RW for Matthews not Bracco.

Goatson u talk like u have pull in the organization lol! We'll see what's up real soon! Matthews makes players better around him kind if like crosby does with the two youngsters! You can put anyone with Matthews and he'd make them better! Either way it would work out in the end if he played with Marner Nylander or Bracco! All he needs is someone that can dish him the puck. All three are elite passers! It's my opinion anyways about the situation. My guess Nylander will end up playing C at some point! Matthews, Nylander and Kadri down the middle would be insane! Fill the top nine wingers with Marner, Brown, Kapenen, Leivo, Bracco,
Rychel. Not to mention Leipsic Korchov and Timashov. The depth is real!

Personally, I would like to see Kapanen on Matthew's wing when Nylander moves to centre (and I do think he will move to centre when Bozak leaves. Give him another year in the league to continue his development and then take on the centre roll) . Kapanen is a a speedster that likes to float on the outside, which works well with the power style of Matthews and Hyman. Kapanen is ready now while Bracco a year or two away. Bracco is pure trade bait to me and many teams could use an RW of his style because he is talented.

Puck It. Who here votes both?

I said he has nowhere to go on the RW. The incumbents are doing great and are one year or more ahead of him. So who do you move out to put Bracco on the RW.

You just agreeded with me on him learning to play center or RW wing to get on the team.

The team will get a center to replace Bozak when the need arises, based on the team roster at the time. I would bet the next center coming up will be Brooks; he makes all of his linemates look like stars. Marner needs a LH center that can receive his passes and pass back while on his forehand. That was clearly in evidence this year.

Nylander may one year move over to center, but don't count on it any time soon as he still can't back check at all, and doesn't cover his man on the point (game 4 or 5 in OT) ; check the tape. He's won't lay on the body, and doesn't ever block shots, rarely tracks down pucks in the offensive zone, and will certainly never defend himself. Good defense is required of all centers; not just some. The tune on Nylander hasn't changed yet, in most's minds.

The next RW may just be Wong who has better size, aggressiveness, and better scoring numbers than Bracco (even last year if you want to match age) .

To get that #1 RH Dman you have to give up something good. Bracco is that bait. There are some that are already better than him on the farm, over seas, and in junior. And that's not to put him down. It's just the truth. What I do like about Bracco is his quick, effortless, release. But he didn't use it much this year.

And yes I do understand hockey, positioning, statistics, and the small advantage of having player receive pucks along the boards on their forehand and the advantage when pucks need to be snagged before they go outside the blues, and a host of other advantages.

We are all hoping Rychel will finally play at the NHL level, it's been a long wait. Korshkov will be dynamite on Kadri's wing, but that's a year away. Sad to say that Timashov and Dzierkals will be traded or left in the AHL.

And I would still trade Nylander for Tkachuk; straight up with no hesitation whatsoever!

And I don't care what you think of that.

Nylander for Tkachuk? Boy oh boy thank God u not the gm! Tkachuk is good but not for a future super star like nylander.
