The Ducks will not trade Theodore, the Leafs are more likely to be able to target Montour and M. Jones, but the Leafs certainly do not add and the Ducks add!

I posted before about that the going rate for a top line W is 2 top prospects and a 1st, just like what B, Ryan for traded for.

I think it is Connor Carrick not Sam Carrick. Why not go for Theodore if you're Toronto? It depends how much Anaheim values JVR otherwise no deal from Toronto's perspective unless Theodore is included. Montour is too much of a gamble in his own zone according to the scouting reports.

Not enough for JVR and way to much to the ducks. Ducks are also in cap trouble, they are about 4m short of making this deal fit and it only makes their Draft nightmare worst.

Leafs: JVR(50% retained, this year only), Loov, Linberg
Ducks: Manson, Ritchie, Montour, 2018 2nd

50% retained covers the cap gap with the salaries of Manson and Ritchie. Leafs get a RHD for Rielly, a LW for Mathews and a RHD for the Marlies. Plus a pick for the 2018 class that looks to be deeper then this years class.

Ducks want to keep their inexpensive and good defenders. Theodore isn't going anywhere. They just signed Vatanen and Lindholm so the writing is on the wall for Fowler. He's the guy the Ducks want to trade. Is he the guy that Babs wants in the back end? I think we'll see an off season trade again between the Ducks and Leafs.
