JVR and Ott 2nd rd pick 17 to WIN for Trouba and 3rd rd pick 17. WIN is set in C but need W to compliment them and are in good shape a D already. TOR has to give up a good player and good contract to get a good player back and gives them a RD to with size and potential to go with Rielly.

Change the pick the leafs are giving up from a 2nd to a 4th or 5th, then maybe. JVR has more value than Trouba, and adding JVR to the Jets would probably put them in top 12 in league points/playoffs, so the pick coming back will be later in the round.

Jets don't need JVR as they have Stafford, Lowery and Lemieux that play his type of game and they are signed for very reasonable contracts. The Jets also don't need draft picks as they have many good players in their system. Wpg. would want a top skilled NHL ready prospect or a young top left shooting d-man. I don't think this trade will happen.

Lets stop with the Trouba to Toronto rumors! I think we can all agree Jets and Leafs don't make good trading partners. If we want Trouba, they would want Rielly and that just doesn't make a lot of sense. Now, Ryan Murray from Columbus makes sense! If Toronto believes Murray is over his injury problems something like JVR. and prospect Viktor Loov for him could be talked about.

Why does everyone want to trade JVR?? He is a thirty goal scorer who has not yet hit his prime. He goes to the dirty areas, takes the abuse, and works hard every night. Duh!!
