For me I like were the leafs sit with or without Stamkos.
I'd like to see them move the contracts of Lupul, Michalek, Robidas and Greening but if they can't I have no issues sitting on the last year of Michalek and Greening and I'm sure they could find a spot for Lupul for a bit of a price. I don't know if anyone will take Robidas or what they could do with him but I'm sure they'd be okay sitting on his contract until it expires (I know nothing about his contract except the price)

I wouldn't mind seeing Matt Martin join the Leafs basically to protect the young, smaller sized kids, but only if they get him at the right price. Management has been doing a great job so far, so whatever they decide to do I'm sure it will be in the best interest of the team.

Personally I'd like to see a top right handed defenseman play with Morgan Reilly, and I'm sure Babs would too.

My suggestion is to get someone who is more defensive than offensive because Reilly has hockey sense in the offensive zone as well as Gardiner and I'm sure Zaitsev isn't to bad either.
If you're still with me I have a trade proposal coming I promise!
I don't see any reason for the Leafs to spend a ton of money in free agency, they're doing great building from within.

I doubt this will happen but if we could find a way to get a player like Travis Hamonic or Matt Dumba that would be great!

Since Minnisota has some good defensemen in their system and just bought out Vanek maybe try this:

To Toronto - Matt Dumba and a pick (2nd or 3rd)
To Minnisota - James Van Reimsdyk

This is just my opinion since I am a Leafs and JVR fan, so I'd like to hear back other offers and opinions.

I like Dumba but I would like to see a better 2 way D in our top pairing. We can't fill our whole team with D who like to rush the puck.

As you said.I don't mind where the Leafs are without Stamkos but I still have a feeling that he wants to be here and that come next week he will be a LEAF!

I'd like to see Lou contact his old team (Devils) and make a simple trade of:

Bozak + Percy for Damon Severson

Severson is young, great skater and a right-handed shot

(Ideally they could throw in Lupul also just to help Jersey get to the Cap floor)

Like all what you had said up to the point of trading for Dumba. I feel we have to many 6' dmen, we need more size and physicality. something more like Trouba RHD. 6'3" or better

That all makes sense, I'm just a fan of Dumba as well. Who would be better suited to play top line minutes with Reilly? Any suggestions?

The Ducks have a couple who would play top pairing minutes nicely with Rielly LMac.
