Call me crazy but I like this deal for the following reasons. He has missed time to two big injuries but they are not the same injury(knew/shoulder). He is a young guy and I think he will get over them. He just played all 82 game and then he played at the worlds. He is a young (22yrs) top pair D man playing +20min per night on a bad team. There is a big upside to him as D-man don't peak until middle upper 20's. His age works for Toronto as well.

That do you have is Naz. We all know what he is by now (I like him). He's a 2or 3rd line player (40-55 points per year) and if he is a first line centre, your team is not in the NHL playoffs. We have a AHL team full of players that can use those minutes to develop into another Naz 2.0.

Do we have anyone who can play with Reilly on our NHL or AHL roster? NO, we don't. Now people are say that we can trade for a number of D-man but what is it going to cost? Gardiner, Pitts 1st rd plus most likely! Trading a 2 or 3 line player for a top pairing d man makes this trade a no brainer to me. If Ryan gets injured and never plays again, all you have lots in Naz and he can be replaced by a UFA. They is NO UFA that has what Ryan has. I can't see CBJ doing this deal IMO.

I'm not keen on trading Kadri but I kinda like this.
Murray still has a lot of upside

If Kadri can be replaced by a UFA shouldn't the Jackets just sign one and keep their young stud.
