Getzlaf is still an effective top 6 player. Your going to have to give up a bit more of you want the ducks to retain.

Getzlaf is no longer a top 6 center and he cannot perform to the level he has when he plays to many min. Which he is currently doing in Ana. Anaheim is in the process of rebuilding and has three future top 6 centers in their organization.

On toronto, Getzlaf would be able to play 15 min a night and step up on the odd night that he was needed to. He would be far more effective and would be very valuable for the $4.125 mil he would cost next year.

Further, the Ducks could really use a solid scoring winger in Johnnson as they were one of the worst teams at scoring goals the last few years. As for dermott, he will become a top four d in the comming years, and seeing how Anaheim was so porous on d they could yuse him desperately.

This is a trade that would be great for both teams and yall are crazy.

Why would they even want Johnson if they are rebuilding? Unless this is a 1 year rebuild by the time they are done Johnson is close to 30.
