I think the leafs are a team that are broken they are not bad but they just seem to have too many off nights I get it playing 3 games in 4 nights is a lot but good teams find a way. These trade add more to what we are lacking that defensive responsibility manson is a guy that can play top 4 on our team I've seen Dermott the last handful of games and at times he look great but at times not so much still some things he can improve on but we have the depth to move him the ducks have time to wait for Johnsson as they won't make the playoffs. Second trade I would say probably doesn't happen but I felt like last night the leafs were trying to show off Marchment putting him on that second line the leafs are also tied to Anderson so just basically throwing a trade out there big two games coming up I expect the leafs to play good in atleast one because they tend to play their best hockey against strong teams and play their worst hockey against weak team but we will see just got to find ways to win at this point

I still think that's a huge overpay for Manson. Pretty well the same 2 props that you float every day. My opinion of Manson hasn't changed lol.

I’ve floated those proposals because they are player that have been tied to the leafs I see that you have commented on every manson trade and said that they are over payments but the fact is Toronto has 4-5 guys that can replace a guy like Johnsson and they already have a replacement for Dermott these players that i suggested in a trade do not leave holes in our lineup.

Also have 2 1C why not send them Mathews or Tavares for Manson since we have a replacement? If it was Johnson for Manson then you made a second trade of Dermott for someone else it would make more sense if your entire reason is we have a replacement.

Also, am I the only one willing to admit Sandin and Liljigren both have massive defensive lapses at times? Neither one is ready to play top 4. For their age and being new to the NHL they are looking very good but saying Dermott is already replaced is a "we don't need mcelhinny we have Sparks" argument.

If the only trade made was one to bring in Manson or Dumba I would happy to see it but without Reilly you still need Dermott.

Because center depth is a lot harder to come by wingers are a dime a dozen as we are finding out also don't get the hype on Dermott since Rielly has been out he hasn’t really been good yea his partner isn’t good but individually he hasn’t really wowed me again comes down to asset management Dubas has moved a lot of picks would be nice to get some back.

I agree that Johnsson and Dermott is an overpayment for Manson, Dermott didn’t start the season with everyone else and he didn’t have any summer time training either, he’ll be much better next season. Let’s not get carried away, the kid just turned 23 and most D men are either just starting their NHL careers at that time. Give him time, he’ll be fine, he’s very young still. Liljegren and Sandin need time to develop into top 4 D men, they aren’t there yet not by a long shot. Just be patient. Johnsson and a mid level pick, or prospect, such as Bracco even, but definitely not Dermott. Send them Ceci for free, no return required.

I can’t get over how much some of the guys on here are willing to pay for Manson. I’m real curious to see what he gets traded for. By far the most polarizing player I’ve seen on this site in a while. There is absolutely no convergence on his value. I really hope he gets traded just so it gives us all a precedent for future as well.

The offer in the proposal here is more than what Rangers paid for Trouba. I can’t possibly see Manson go for that.
