Leafs trade Kapanen, Hollowell
Wild trade Dumba

Dumba is having a terrible ear after coming back from surgery. This is a buy low opportunity. The Minnesota Wild and Arizona Coyotes had a slugfest on Thursday, combining for 13 goals. And ice-cold Mathew Dumba had a hand in exactly zero of his team’s eight goals. Dumba is rapidly losing minutes to the likes of Carson Soucy and Jonas Brodin. It’s starting to look very dire for Dumba and the Wild. If there was ever a time to shake up the roster, it’s now. Say what you will about how great Dumba was before his injury. How good is he now? Even giving up Kapanen is a bit of a hard chew right now considering just how bad Dumba has gotten.

Dumba had major surgery so I'm not surprised. I was kind of expecting this to come but hoping not. Subban seems disinterested in a lot of ways. I wouldn't want him right now unless jersey ate half.

It was for a torn pec muscle that Dumba had surgery for. I’m surprised it’s impacting his game so much. It’s not like he is on a great team though. Hopefully he can bounce back from this. I always hate to see a great players career get derailed because of injury. It could be an opportunity for Leafs or someone else to take a chance. Not sure how much I’d be willing to risk if I was Dubas. But I think the above would be a reasonable starting point. Much more and I don’t know if Dubas should risk it.

If you take the aniheim deal from above this proposal and add in this deal and the leafs now have the best D in the league. plus now that 3 million to cover the cap is solved
