Take out athanasiou and green add mantha leafs will need a top 6 forward back and green would be a great bet to have but I don’t see the need for him.

Jesus man the Holl giveaway continues haha.

I like the addition of Athanasiou looks like a solid player. If I remember correctly a centre but can always move to the wing.

Not sure why Green is added in he misses a bunch of time last year, hasn't played a full season in what 10 years? and is ageing but maybe I'm under valueing him.

I like both prospects included in the deal as the Leafs don't have many left at this point so it would be nice to add some to the system.

I think my main issue is only, how does this help right now? Seems more like a backwards move in a contention year with some upside down the road. Veleno has upside but who knows with prospects. Would rather have a Mantha+ for Marner if Detroit is the target but maybe I missed something in here that someone else can point out. Like the target and it's an original post.

McIsaac is a good choice. I would rather have him than Hronek or Cholowski at this point. He would be our second good LHD prospect to go along with Sandin. Green is an obvious cap dump and I’m fine with him for a season. It would be good to have him around in case Ceci sucks the bag. Now Veleno might be a deal killer. Athanasiou is a 30 goal scorer and adequate replacement for Marner. Along with Green, who is still a decent depth defenseman, and McIsaacc, I don’t think Wings throw in Veleno, who they have high hopes becomes 2C Behring Larkin for them.

couple mixed reviews here but great input everyone. just trying to figure out Marners true value. so tough.
