Liljergren + Brown + Zaitsev for Pesce

Since Marleau may force the Leafs may keep him for the third year.

After Big Willy's trade.

Leafs trade Kadri + Holl

for

Boone Jenner + Josh Anderson

Marleau should he stays plays LW or C interchanging with Jenner. Leafs inherit an additional $1 MM for next year from this trade, but reduces salary from Big Willy's suggested trade by $2.6 MM.

Heatdreamer. I love it. Kadri is just such an litstanding player, I would hate to lose him. In fact, I might even shed a tear or two if he gets traded. But bringing in Jenner and Anderson both would dry my tears away pretty quick. The combination of Jenner and Anderson easily replaces any lost offense by trading Kadri, and easily increases the physicality and “grit” of the team. Our third line gets a huge boost, and both those guys can be used on top two lines if needed. I’ve always admired both those guys, especially Jenner.

Again Heatdreamer, you come up with another homerun. I know it’s not baseball we are talking about, but that’s ok. It’s an analogy. Lol. I love how you are so adept at seeing the good in other peoples propositions and finding ways to take it one step further and make the team even that much better. This site needs more guys like you. Guys who aren’t afraid to put their neck out and post a proposal or two every day. It’s regular contributors like you who keep this site running and gives us old timers a sliver of enjoyment in an otherwise dreary day. Keep well my friend. It’s another cool day out there again. Make Marleau a skating coach so he retires. pay him 30 million over 5 years to do this job. he still with players every step of way just not on ice during games but part of team. retires injury free for ever and 30 million isn't cap hit as he is a coach. plus this kind of money retires 2 more generations of marleaus without ever working. the leafs can afford it so why not?

Would that work?
