We all know the Coyotes make deals based on cash to be paid as they don't have much of it. What about this?

To TOR: F - N. Schmaltz (10% retained)

To ARZ: D - J. Muzzin (LTIR) + D - TJ. Brodie + F - N. Abruzesse + 2025 3rd

For Schmaltz he is due $24.5M over his final 3cl years with a total cap hit under $18M


Jake Muzzin, after his bonus is paid is only due $2M and will count for $5.6M in cap for Arizona. TJ Brodie who is paid a more than cap this year is included to make the deal work for the Leafs by cap.

defence really sucks.

Very thin on defense though after this trade. Thinner then we currently are, which is scary.

This doesn't help the Leafs cap situation. Remove Muzzin, and they are even farther over the cap right now because Muzzin doesn't count againstthe cap. All this trade does is keep them in the ssme position they are in now and they will still have to move out more cap and have a worse defence.
