Van adds, but won't. Leafs won't do it without an add.

Both teams probably value their own guy the same. Oddly enough, I think Nylander does better on van.

I like the trade but unless Miller plays G. this will only marginally make the Leafs better.

Stop thinking it's the goalie that's the problem. We currently have 2 top 4 defenceman and a bunch of offensive minded ones. The need is dmen that clear the front of the net.

Yes mrazek sucks, and it was a failed gamble like Ritchie. But if Campbell leaves leafs still have a goalie under contract for 2 more years.

Overall the leafs get a more engaged player who works hard and a smaller cap hit. Canucks get a younger player with 1 more year.

All of a sudden we have a couple extra bucks to pay Campbell, or solidify a defense first rhd.
