Let’s shake it up and consider trading Marner. Which team has the biggest need and cap room?
Two teams who can be considered are the Red Wings and the Ducks.
Bertuzzi and Vrana are interesting but maybe take a chance on two young, big players who have not yet reached their expectations. Let’s push Detroit as far as we can and obtain Michael Rasmussen, Evgeny Svechnikov, Joe Veleno and a 2nd in 2021. Is this too much? Or the wrong players?
The only player on the Ducks of interest to me is Maxime Comtois. Add either Max Jones or Sam Steele and either Hayden Fleury or Jacob Larsson and a 2nd.
Do either of these have merit?

You’d have to get a lot more then that from Detroit Anaheim intrigues me but I think they will be looking at a center first.

I don't think either team pays that much for Marner. I would gladly take Beans and Bertuzi but that wouldn't happen either.

The big thing for Detroit is the rebuild. They aren't looking to acquire anyone that has Marner type numbers and salary for a few years.

Also, other teams watch what has happened recently with Marner. We aren't the only ones. Your selling him extremely low right now if he's traded.
