If Toronto goes out first round again, after expansion draft.

Tor: Matthews, dermott
Buf: eichel, dahlin, 2021 1st, 2022 1st

Clearly drafting high isn't working for buffalo so let them have the third best centre in the league (also the youngest of the 3) it's a lot for them to give up but we are buying low, eichel at the top of his game isn't that far behind Matthews, the issue is eichel hasn't been that for 2 years, I think he just needs a change of scenery. I may be asking for to much I'm not sure.

Wtf why would we want to bring in to guys that are surrounded in a losing culture and give up one of the if not the best goal scorer in the game.

To comment on the bringing guys in from a losing culture Simmons, vessey and bogosain all played in Buffalo last year and are having better years else where so yes a change of scenery would be good for eichel but not at the cost of trade matthews🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️.

Dude I think there's something in the water if you think trading Matthews for Eichel is a good deal. To comment on the losing culture thing Simmons, Vessel and Bogosian all came from playing in Buffalo and Bogosian got traded to the lighting and won a cup last year and 3 of them are having a pretty good. So the whole bringing in "people from a losing culture thing" so the leafs shouldn't bringing people in from a losing team? So the leafs should only make trades with teams who have a winning culture?! You should maybe tell that to Ryan O'Reilly who left Buffalo and won a cup in St. Louis! Also Matthews is not the best scorer in the game! Maybe in 10 years you can say that but definitely can't call him the best scorer in the game when Ovechkin is knocking at Gretzky's back door for that title!

Kind of funny, this next first is likely top 3 so at worst we are getting a 1st 2nd and 3rd overall pick plus another 1st round pick for Matthews. I maybe should have posted lines first to see how you guys feel

Honestly Matthews is a great goal scorer, but I would still take this package for him i'm pretty sure.

Are you kidding me dubas takes that deal in a heartbeat your getting a top 10 center, Elite young d, guaranteed 1st or second overall pick this year and probably a top 5 pick next year.

Also since Eichel is "injured" Toronto can pull a Chicago and put him on ltir till start of playoffs and gain 10.5 cap space to go all in.
