Honestly I’d rather have Robertson when our LW depth is hurting and Hyman only has one year left on his deal.

We can afford to re-sign Hyman in a scenario like this.

My thoughts are that Leafs scores when they drafted Robertson. But he is still far from a sure thing. Why not parlay that success and sell high to obtain a top 5 pick. There is a much greater chance that Drysdale will work out still than Robertson.

I like Robertson too. Looked good in the playoffs. But I’m not sure how they plan on developing him properly and we don’t need another offensive player when that is our area of strength. I believe we should be trading from an area of strength to address an area of weakness. Since Dubas won’t trade any of MNMT, then I’m thinking this might be the better way to go about.

If Ottawa will give us the 5th OA for Robertson (which I doubt they would) . take it and run. Nothing against Robertson, but the 5th OA is likely going to be a better player or you could flip it for an immediate need.
