Doubt it. Even with Freddy and Reilly they barely make the playoffs. They are rebuilding. Won't want those guys.

I think the objective is to get Rielly a partner, not trade him for an RHD that is not as good as him.

If we do trade Rielly it would have to be for someone who is at least as good as he is. Then the defense gets stronger by committee. Otherwise the defense just gets weaker.

The trade of Reilly + Kerfoot for Seth Jones + Jarnkrok.

Leafs than trade Johnsson + Holl + Andersen for Savard + Anderson + Korpisalo.

If Leafs have to use the 1st round pick in the Jones deal, so be it.

Rodrigues signs 2 years at $1 MM a year. Spezza signs 1 year at $750 MM
Mikheyev signs 2 year at $1.4 MM
Dermott signs 2 year at $1.4 MM

Between two deals, Leafs save $2 Million.

This way Muzzin first line LHD with Jones.
Dermott with Savard.
