A small minor deal, but this could work for both teams. Bracco is from the NY area and maybe the Isles could get him some NHL time

To TOR: D - B. Wilde

To NYI: F - J. Bracco

As Bracco will need a new deal, and Wilde is in the first year of his ELC, this gives the Leafs 3 more years for development

Nice trade if Islanders would make it, which I’m not convinced they would. Wilde is younger and still has lots of time to develop as a defenseman. Bracco at 23 years of age and being a forward, his time is running out.

Islanders have a lot of good defensemen, including in the prospect pool, so the night make a trade similar to this. It might not be Bracco, and Leafs maybe have to add a pick or another prospect. But if Dubas could come up with a proposal similar to this, Islanders might be intrigued.
