Larsson has lost an incredible amount of time value though @Leafs1994. That’s why his value wouldn’t be as high as it was when Edmonton traded for him. Besides, Chiarelli was gone, and Holland doesn’t care what Edmonton paid for him. Fixing Chiarelli’s mistakes is Holland’s number one priority right now. How best to make it official than by trading away Chiarelli’s biggest mistake?

Larsson has lost a lot of time value since Chiarelli made the Hall-Larsson deal. Now that Holland is in charge, I can see him wanting to undo Chiarelli’s mistakes. And none bigger than the Hall-Larsson deal. Holland won’t give a snit what Chiarelli paid. He’s the man in charge now. Personally though, I don’t think Larsson is worth a good roster player like Johnsson. I value him same as when Muzzin got traded. Same type of player and very similar contracts at point of trade. Muzzin is by far the better player (11th in Norris voting the last three years remember) . So Larsson is worth a little less. A 2nd and 2 b-prospects is probably most I can seen him getting traded for. But since Edmonton isn’t exactly rebuilding and want to make the playoffs, he might not get traded at all. Just depends on where they sit at deadline I guess.
