Well here is a deep thought.

If Knies was being shopped for Werneski why not shore up the D and dangle something Vancouver may bite at.

Ballzy but for me the our line up is better rounded out and with this trade it is almost a one stop shop.

Morgan Rielly LD (7.5m)-decides maybe Vancouver is a safe place to be and decides not to take the boooo's if he faulters as a Leaf this year so he approves the trade

Tanev RD (4.5m)- Who also gives the nod for the trade and feels like he is giving back to the Leafs by allowing it.

Suffering - thoughts always provoke my mind for improvements now. I feel the D-core is improved and not only improved, but younger, signed contracts that are reasonable. Hronek 8 years at 7.25m.

Debrusk is in at year three for a 7 year contract @5.5
Pettersson needs a new contract next year.

More solid and rounded out. Yes we give up the #1 but our window seems better now with cap space to boot.

Wow, watch hockey much? I don't think so. Hronek is calm and plays big heavy minutes and is appreciated and noticed by coaches and adored by fellow players. He does a great job.
