Tor: Joshua, Webber, 4th

Nyr: Raddysh

Leafs pay with a bit of a dump due to the 2m in cap difference.

So we are overloaded with bottom 6 forwards now and we trade one for another one.

Yep, don’t need another bottom 6 forward

Taylor Raddysh actually has a right handed stick. And good offensive output for 1.5m cap hit. Plus in just under 12m average ice time had 19 points and was a +5 on a almost as bad as the Leafs, which would be tops on the Leafs for any player playing more than 50 games last season. He starts 63% of the time in the D zone.

He’s still a bottom 6 forward. Don’t need him.

Well, it’s dude for dude; we gain cap space, so ya, we don’t need another bottom six, but that’s not what’s happening. We will have the same amount, just save some money.

Original trade is not Dude for Dude. It is Joshua for Raddysh.yes. But also throwing in Wedbber who could be a good surprise as he is a extremely good shot blocker and very responpsible d-man and also a 4th. If you are giving up Joshua along with the draft pick and Webber you want a guaranteed 3rd liner not a 4th liner. I get the cap savings for Joshua over Raddysh, but most people think if cap wasn't a issue we could get Raddysh for just giving up a 4th round pick by itself.

Suffering, Raddysh also had a decent 37 point season in Chicago a few years ago. Joshua's 2m cap difference and the age difference and right handed stick premium is covered in the prospect and draft pick.

So he had a decent year 4 seasons ago.Means nothing on his value now with his body of work since or before to justify the package. His right handed stick premium certainly doesn't look like a premium to me.
