Not sure. Is this a serious proposal or a satirical one?

Marner.. you stink in the playoffs and now you also can’t add…
Leafs over currently 2.8.
Crouse adds 4.3.
Stanley Cup adds 4.5.
That’s 11.6.
Morgan out 7.5.
Equal 4.1 over.
Domi LTIR 3.7.
Joshua bye bye 3.25.
Now we are under.
Sooooo
Why am I trading Lorentz??

I just don’t see how, when we are having a tough time getting a decent prospect or a good draft pick for Reilly, that we could pick Utah's pocket for a power forward that has scored 20 or more in his last 4 years.
Re: Stanley. The whole league is running scared from the way he was exposed in the playoffs.
Initial estimates before the playoffs were 5 years at $5m; now some are saying because of his one-off 9-goal year, but then crashing in the playoffs, he may get a 1-year show-me contract in the $2.5 to $3 range the longer this draws out. Especially with Ferraro, who is a much better d-man, signing for only $4m.

Preposterous. ?

Ferraro is gone suffering
Get over it.

I am over it. Just pointing out that the price point and demand for Stanley is not what people thought it would be.

I meant Cruise has scored 20 or more in 4 of the last 5 years. I just don’t see why Utah would consider trading their best playoff player last year for Reilly. Curious why you think they might, Luke?

It would take more than Reilly to get Crouse. At least a prospect and a pick. Like all the other moves to clear up cap space. I believe Lorentz will be put on waivers if they don’t find a trade for him, so no need to move him it’s not a priority. Something is very suspicious that Stanley hasn’t been signed yet.
Either his price tag is too high, and teams not willing to give him his asking price and term. So it’s not a priority to give him $4.5mx3 when no one else is giving it to him. You can snag him for Les term and less money.

Ok then sign Stanley for 3 million or 2 million.
I don’t care.
You are all missing the point of the moves.
Geez folks.

So what is the point of the Logan Stanley move? Because he drops the gloves? One of the reasons he is not in demand is why Winnipeg let him go. He consistantly gets caught out of position and takes too many minor penalties that put his team on the penalty kill. The guy has consistently been one of the worst offenders at that. He was the third worst this past season. But in actual reality probably was the worst because he played significantly less minutes a game than the two ahead of him. Why do we need another slow poor defensive defenseman. That would give us 3 not counting Reilly. Raddysh from the Red Line in on the Offensive zone is fine but is slow footed and is a liabity in the defensive transition, Andrae is the same.
People think because he is small that he is Fast. He really isn't. He is quick with his stick and his feet in offensive traffic, but again in defensive transition he doesn't have that speed and gets bumped off the puck. With some help from Stecher he might get tips on how Stecher as a smaller guy always manages to close the gap and push his man to the outside. So So that leaves us McCabe, OEL and Tanev. Very smart able guys that know the game and tend to not get caught out of position much. Hate to say it but if we sign Stanley many will be wondering why we traded Carlo by the end of the year.
