No to moving Knies. Not sure why people are under estimating the value of a power forward that has skill, will fight, sticks up for teammates, can’t be knocked off a puck and battles in the tough areas. All his goals are scored right outside the crease. Who is gonna take that role? We have a bunch of perimeter players and few guys that drive the net and you goofs want to trade him. There is maybe a handful of effective power forwards in the whole league and we have 1 of them and he isn’t even in his prime yet.

Sorry to be harsh but people putting Knies in trades don’t know hockey. After watching that Stanley Cup finals, you guys still think we can win with the heartless perimeter players. Obviously every other team is inquiring about Knies, how come we don’t hear much about teams going after Willy? Because he is not a character piece that will drive a team to the finals. He is just a YouTuber with good hockey skill and IQ. But after Chyaka traded Woll for practically nothing, it wouldn’t surprise me.

I don’t want to move Knies either. But if they are set on doing that, including him in this deal means you do not have to retain on Rielly.

I agree with Clarky if we trade Knies and don't get absolute boatload in return, I'm out. You just don't trade players like Knies. Trade Nylander all day over Knies.

Chayka not moving Knies. So where u guys are coming up with if they r set on moving Knies bs? Trev supposedly tried at deadline to Habs but I don’t believe it one bit. If he did ownership told him no way and he got canned for even suggesting it.

If u look at Chayka and what kind of GM he is he’s not going after guys like Jenner. He wants the team faster, younger and more mobile. To that point not even Tuch would be on his radar at the price he’s asking.

One thing we need to be cognizant of in Trade suggestions, is when moving out players that have a lot of salary and freeing up our cap is this...... if we have a ton of cap space but don't manage to sign any top free agents. And we don't get any players of immediate value that have salaries.

We can end up signing a bunch of crap UFA's at overpayment prices. just to hit the minimum ceiling on the cap. These trades need to bring back roster players and prospects but not skew the cap to far up or to far down. It can be a fine line sometimes.
