MTL: Dach


This is simple move. Switching a left handed player to a right. Both are mid 20s RFAs. Dach hits and is an energy guy that's not overly expensive wildcard that we can use in our bottom 6 right side.

Have always liked Dach but has had trouble staying healthy.
But I’d do the deal.

Ya, this is a tough one for me only because we saw flashes of skill towards the end of last season and with new coaching coming in he may actually have a role but as you said Dach has that truculent ability and he looked ok in the playoffs. Good post, man.

Dach is a guy that has never been able to put it all together. Injuries may have been a factor for not getting on a roll of any kind. He is fairly responsible defensively, but not enough that coaches will use him on the PK. If you want him at C, he's brutal on the dot. Nothing so far indicates he will help offence.

All depends on what else the Leafs do I guess if I would want to do this deal. They may need to move both Robertson and Maccelli if they are drafting McKenna and keeping Cowan. Need some size coming back, but I would probably target someone other than Dach.
