If the Leafs got to sign one of the top 10 wingers (left or right) and all they are giving up is Groulx as compensation and they are giving up the 1st overall for one of the Top 15 Defenseman in the game.

That’s a no brainer for Toronto to do. Dallas, it makes no sense even with their cap issues. I’m sure they could shop for a better package than that.

Please stop with the "Generational". They said Bedard was Generational, now McKenna is Generational and they are saying Landon Dupont for next year is also Generational and if he would have been in this year's draft might have gone first. So in 5 years we have 3 "Generational" players. How long is a Generation now? lol.

With Robertson set to make $11 - $12 million on his extension and Harley set to make $10.5 on his extension, how do Leafs fit this under their cap if all they are sending back is a draftpick and Grouiix?

If we got Harley then we can do a salary dump on Reilly to a team for a couple of 2nd round picks or someone's late 1st rounder. Rather than taking a roster player that team has not use for and we probably don't either in return. Those picks could be packaged into something good down the road or packeged into another trade deal sooner.

Golf just saw that post. So, Crosby isn’t generational? Ya he is over Ovi, sorry pal. 3 cups to one man's a beauty. I’m a Ovi fan too, kinda feel like both are, but Crosby still over 8.
