The question should be asked but does Werenski want to stay in Columbus? This fixes so much for the Leafs but this is a trade that would be based off of what the players want but just imagine.

I think a 1 for 1 trade would be enough. Nylander is a proven playoff performer, just bad playoff injury history. Werenski is an amazing top pairing dman. This type of trade would look good for a retool, but very bad for a rebuild.

I'm personally thinking a rebuild is needed because of just how many exceptionally bad mistakes the Leafs management has done over the last 10 years.

I think Goat is right where Toronto will have to add. If Werenski wants to leave and CLB isn't looking for picks/prospects, this could interest them.

If Werenski hits the market that trade will be only a notch below Quinn Hughes. Werenski is an absolute stud of a D-man. I think it actually takes more than Willy.
