Here is one to chew on. I heard it the other day when I mentioned one of my past suggestions to a group of guys. One of them came back with this idea.

Toronto Sends: Matthews, OEL and a 2nd round pick in 2027

Dallas Sends Back: Wyatt Johnstone and Thomas Harley.

Dallas saves a Precious $2.25 million which they desperately need on their cap.

Toronto gets 2 Elite players and gets a lot younger.

I told him I would post it and see the feedback. I said some will say Dallas will want more and others will say Matthews is worth 2 more 1st round picks lol.

I like it, Suffering!! I think the 2nd should be coming to us since we’re losing the best player in the deal plus Wyatt is a winger. We could even relieve them of Tyler Seguin's contract if they move it to a 1st rd pick.

Wyatt Centers Rantanen Clarky. He can play wing if he had to. But Dallas has had him as a Centre for 2 seasons. As far as losing the best player, that is arguable right now. Johnston is prety much at the level of Matthews and getting better each year. Harley is way better than OEL. That's why we need to offer the 2nd.

Dallas gives up both Harley and Johnstone just for Matthews. Well, ok, if you are Dallas GM and I am Toronto’s GM, I’ll do that. Lol
