He is an everyday nhl player on pretty much every other nhl team, if he is given the chance to gets some serious game time you'll want to keep him (leivo) I'd say bracco for belpido plus a 2018 3rd given that he is an NCAA player and can choose where he wants to sign even after the deal, would work better.

The goligoski trade is brutal; Borgman will continue to improve/ he doesn't speak the language all that well and it's his first season in the nhl/ learning a new system for a very animated coach. the leafs are not in desperation mode, they have plenty of time to build a contender. that return for jvr doesn't really make sense to me foligno isn't the player I'd target especially if you have him player the right side, aaltonen isn't a third line centre in the nhl, and korshkov has a bright future and is one of the leafs only wingers with size and speed other than marchment who hasn't proven anything at the pro level yet. Bozak nets you matta, leivo nets you a second and a good prospect+.

Gardiner gets more than a declining prospect in dal colle and the first would be 2018, I would want another top tier prospect or a good everyday NHL' er +.

The wild add; brodin is better defensively and would help transition the puck better; but gardiner is money in the offensive zone and can qb the pp, brodins contact is nice at 4.1 until 21, so that's a wash. Bracco will be a top six everyday NHL player but it's going to take him a few years,
Wild add a number two or third best prospect pick stays the same possibly kunin or greenway.

Marleau slides over, can play all three forward positions, if the leafs trade one or both of JVR/ Bozak a center (prospect) will be coming back albeit one with a little more upside than Gauthier/ Brooks or Alts. The leafs wanted the Goat healthy in training camp so my guess is he comes up in Jan and stays with the team.
Alts is likely to be thrust into that 3C position next season. Alts has the speed to make a line dangerous, I could see him playing with Kappy who has speed to burn ( pretty good defensively and in the neutral zone) .
The 2018 draft will be interesting JESPERI KOTKANIEMI, LUNDESTRÖM, OSCAR BÄCK, Wassenius, Hållander are the European options at center that jump out but we will see how the year unfolds. My guess is they draft a couple more centers this year. And we'll have to wait and see if Vladislav Kara keeps his year going, I think he is a real prospect.
LD has the potential to get shifted around if they don't feel like giving gardiner a big raise, at 27 he is getting into JVR territory, although Gardiner is a much more important piece of the current roster, just some food for thought.
