I absolutely love these deals and lineups after these deals.

Good targets, fair trades.

Guess only question is, how much do Ottawa value duchene. I don't know the answer and won't pretend I do. if they value high this deal isn't close. if they value him low than you're offering too much. Somewhere in there I see a deal that can be made.

If Leafs get Manson I'm done doing rumors cause Manson is just 2 Sweet

Absolutely not to that Ottawa trade

Duchene is UFA. Worth 1x1st + prospect/ player. But you are offering up 2x1st (one conditional) + 2 x roster players + Prospect + Pick

That’s way too much for Duchene, who would be accounting for about 90% of the value of this trade, as DeMelo sucks.

Our defense is strengthened, mainly because of the Manson deal than because of anything DeMelo brings.

It’s questionable exactly how much “more” Duchene brings to the table. His accomplishments have to be measured in consideration with what Marleau’s were playing that same position. I don’t see Duchene bring much, if any, more to table than Marleau provides.

Your lineups have a couple unique characterizations: Hyman replaced by Johnsson is the immediate one that stands out, and Duchene replacing Marleau too I thought was maybe a little different than expected.

They look good. Damn good team. It seems like too much to offer for these players, but when you look at the lineup, the team is obviously much improved.

I kinda like the thought of Gauthier as 4C between Leivo and Ritchie. That would be a good sized line.

Good one mostleaf. Lots of positive elements here.

Anaheim doesn’t have the cap space to absorb Nylander’s contract this year. Manson would be great to have but that deal is not going to happen. There isn’t many teams that can take on his cap for this year.
