Toronto trades Gardiner, Nylander
Edmonton trades RNH, Larsson
(Condition Gardiner signs first)

Trade can be tweaked by adding picks/ prospects from either side, but this is the core of the proposal.

Gives both teams something they desperately need.

Matthews, Kadri, RNH would be one of the best trips at centre in the league. Larsson is a hitting and shot blocking defense machine who would be perfect beside Reilly and finally give relief to poor Hainsey before he has a heart attack from Leafs working him into the ground (or should I say ice) .

I like what you are thinking here but I wouldn’t move nylander for either of those guys. I’d prefer moving nylander to centre over trading him.
I think a deal around kapanen (as much as I don’t want to get rid of him) for klefbom would be a better deal. Just my opinion though.

Considering what they paid for Larsson, I tend to agree with you on that one.

I’d prefer to move Marleau to center until Nylander gets more experienced at that position. But I get where you are coming from.
