If this continues with Boston the dynamic will change regarding nylander safety in Toronto. Pastrank and nylander are friends and competitors. Nylander should be embarrassed along with Matthews.

Leafs gm

Is trachuk the type of player Leafs need to me he is a bit of a head case. But who might Leafs bring in that plays the physical element with skill.

Replace Brodie with Hamilton and add a first from Toronto and you got a trade.

Hamilton would satisfy our need for RHD. He’s a monster and is extremely talented both offensively and defensively he can contribute. He’s signed to very reasonable contract for another three years.

Tkachuk is a bigger stronger version of Nylander. I would love to have him on the team. He’s got skill and can throw the body around. Nylander is soft.

Bennett gives us our depth centerman we need. And he’s a lot bigger than Brown.

As we are seeing, Leafs are getting pushed around by a much larger Boston team. Leafs need to add size and grit, without losing too much offense. A trade like this would fill our needs at center and RHD, while providing us with some much larger players who aren’t afraid to hit and drop gloves, and can still put the puck in the net.

Pogipangit

I'm betting you have Filipino heritage reading that name am I right.

Anyway your trade addresses the area where lwafs are weak. Is anything available in free agency that fits same bill for Toronto and fills their holes. If this continues and nylander can't find a way to push through I hit gun hard in my offers his next contract.

I take offence that he push so hard at end of season to hit 20 goals and his bonus but is invisible come playoff time.

Pogi pangit

I just flat out give you credit for this trade.

Number one you have found two teams that maybe a match in heaven to do a major trade. Calgary need to do something major.

This Bruin series is a awakening for leafs management. Toronto is super soft. With heavy potential with top 5 on list below. But the major question is nylander he would be one that might be traded to get heavy playing assets like trachuk but grow up and be like your daddy. Trachuk.

Matthews
Marner
Nylander. This turkey may have to fly elsewhere
Kapanan do not trade
Johnsson do not trade
Marleau
Kadri
Hyman. Serves need do not trade

That's leafs core no one is traded on that core except nylander

Defence worth keeping Reilly Dermott liljegren Holl

I would entertain trades on everyone else on Toronto defence and marlies.

Major trade pieces leafs have

Nylander
Brown
Leivo
Gardiner
Zaitsev
Neilsen

This series maybe awful to watch but it paints a clear picture this offseason for leafs will be a beauty.

Agree David, I think Pogi is on the right track and there is a lot to like in a trade between these two teams, for both. My suggested trade adjustment, Calgary needs a BU goalie;

Leafs: Nylander, Gardiner, Brown, Picard, 2019 1st, 2018 2nd

Flames: Tkachuk, Hamilton, Bennett

Flames get some much needed scoring depth, a solid BU and a couple of high round picks.
Leafs get bigger, tougher, younger and finally fill the RHD hole. Keep this years 1st in a deep draft.
Marleau - Tavares? - Marner
Tkachuk - Mathews - Kapanen
Johnsson - Bennet - Hyman
Martin - Riley Nash? - Lievo
Rielly - Hamilton
DeHaan? - Hainsey
Dermott - Holl/ Carrick
Inserted a couple of UFA (? ) I hope the Leafs pursue. Leafs not included are trade chips (Kadri, Zaitsev) .
Curious to know Pogi's heritage. Agree, sounds Filipno. I spend the winters here, agree with you, love the weather and the beautiful women. Best part is the 12 hour time difference let's me sit down and enjoy my morning coffee while watching a game live.

Why is Reilly a keeper. Gardiner is better. Watch Reilly closer tomorrow in game 3 and you will see.
