I made this one a juicy offer for Carolina but those are all the resources Leafs have to trade

No one else in system with value that I trade except what's above

I hate giving a first rounder but Hannifin is totally under control for a long time

You truly think trading a 50pt left shot D man in Gardiner, a 15 to 20 goal scoring 2nd yr player in Brown, a 30 goal scoring 1st line winger in JVR, a 1st rounder and a decent D prospect for an unproven young left shot D man?
Do I really have to say how dumb this trade is? I guess a top 4 proven d man really isn't worth much but an unproven one is.
The LAST thing the Leafs need is another left shot D man. For all we know Dermott could end up being better then him in the long run.

One player isn't worth what you suggested from the Leafs for a defenceman; great yes, but remove brown and Gardiner,1st, and the rights to JVR will do.

Hannifin is 21 and top 5 Pic and I may be old PUCK IT but in everything that matters I can still defeat u.

Neilsen has really shown slowness this year time Leafs move on from him .

JVR leafs don't want back
Gardiner has offence but a give away machine inside his blue line.

Brown has very little offence on his stick

The first rounder will bring a player this season.

Bruins are going to be real tough. But you never know leafs have lots of scoring. I get that komorov is getting back in but I love Johnson and Kapanan plekanic line.

Loose puck inside leaf blue line Kapanan is gonzo scoring chance. next year beside Matthews 30 goals for Kapanan.

For the amount you are offering up, we can get a real top notch proven defenseman. Montour or Manson would be good targets.

I agree with you on your assessment of the players we would be trading out. But you’re right. that would be virtually every resource Leafs have at their disposal. Would leave them nothing left for future in case of injury replacement or other needs.
