The Blues need offence from the LHD, and the RW after Tarasenko. The Leafs need a 3rd line center and and a 3rd pair RHD.

Gardiner is not getting traded before Monday

Bracco, after only 31 games of pro hockey, does not step into Blues lineup of top 6 or top 9

this trade does not get Blues deep into playoffs

they would need two proven players to fill those needs, if that is what they are looking to fill, not 1 proven and 1 prospect.

It's an even enough trade. One trade doesn't have to put a team anywhere and likely won't. But it can push it in the right directions.

The Blues clearly need some offence on the RHS, and some RW prospects would help.

The Leafs need a 3rd line center which Babashev fits the bill. Hard to say if Schmaltz is worth it but he plays RHD, another Leaf depth need.

No trade will win you the cup or get you deep into the playoffs.

Glad you speak for what the Blues want. Now we just have to figure out why you are on this site.
