Komarov
To Calgary for
Rasmus Andersson and 2018 3rd

Reason I propose the trade is because the play of Carl Grundstrom so far this pre season.
I think he would be an improvement over Komarov, he plays the same gritty game but has better hands and still lots of upside.

JVR after this still should be on the block because they shouldn't lose him to free agency for nothing, especially considering they have the depth in the system to replace him.

With JVR and Komarov both traded the line up still looks pretty strong.

It's bad enough the Leafs are going to potentially lose Rychel for nothing to waivers.
Albeit though, he has been passed by Grundstrom and Johnsson now he will never get a shot with the Leafs.

Why do Flames want Komorov. They're log jammed at Center. Komarov at best is a 3rd line Center and Calgary already has Bennett and Stajan. Lazar can also play Center and Jankowski is making a push for the team. Makes 0 sense for Calgary.

Dbone i'd change your lineup up a little i'd put grundstrom on the 4th right let him learn some tricks sitting beside martin leave kapanen in the a til injuries use leivo in jvrs place and marleau down with kadri and brown so

Yea Komarov is a winger, he can take faceoffs but he primarily plays on the left wing Xcing, before you make a comment maybe watch a game or two.

Calgary lacks forward depth after their top 6 in my opinion, Komarov would fit well there.
