I'm sure Aaltonen didn't sigh with leafs to play in AHL but I'm sure that's where he finishes this season

With Kapanan and Aalronen added the days of Bozak JVR and Kapanan should be coming to a end

Why are you adding Kapanen in there? What affect does Aatlonnen have on him?

That being said I don't think the Leafs added Aaltonnen as an end all be all guy, he's not a guarantee to make the leafs in any way. Leafs are thin on the left wing and when they do make some trades this will help, but I think Aaltonnen is maybe a bottom 6 player at best and he's small. He may not get the time you think, he could spend a season with the Marlies.

Who cares if he is small? Marner is small, has that negatively affected him?

He was drafted in the 6th round and is already 23 years old. He could be like another Jimmy Vesey who was overhyped during the start of the year and look at him now, didn't live up to the expectations.

Marner is small yes, but blessed with immense talent. Not the same for this guy. Smaller guys with incredible talent can do very well in the new NHL.

He won't play until next year. We don't have any contract room so his deal won't start until next season. He's a good steal, I'll be curious to see if his talent translates to NHL.

I won't be holding my breath on this one. But, Leafs need some LWs in the pipeline so good get. We will see what he can do in training camp I guess.
