Please tell me what's so special about MONTOUR? Drafted 2 round and has same numbers like KAPANEN in the AHL. I don't see anyone valuing KAPANEN as much as MONTOUR? You forgot Matthews Marner NYLANDER in the deal for MONTOUR? Smh.

As I have stated before so many people on here think Montour is the second coming of Bobby Orr.

An unproven AHLer with promise, how often have we said that about million times about others over time, and people want to give up JVR for him.

Everyone should stop with the JVR 50% retained. If team like ducks want him that much, then they should be forced to make other moves to fit him in to their cap. Why should Leafs help out? The Leafs r not a charity.

Is Montour better then Nielson or Dermott? Build from within and forget about trading a top line 30 goal scoring LW for an unproven young Defencemen.

My point is why would anyone trade a garenteed top 6 foward for a potencial top 4 d that could be great or nothing. Don't get me wrong I like MONTOUR but how often do you see a proven player straight up for an unproven player? As a leafs fan there must be other assets coming back!

I'm surprised you didn't put Matthews Marner and a 1st for MONTOUR?
