JVR for a top prospect and a high draft choice is what St.L would give up. The Blues are getting older and need to make a run for the cup this year. So they won't want to give up a key piece, even though JVR would help them at this time.

I'd rather have jvr. Shatt will be grossly overpaid soon. He's a good #3 defender. No more.
